Client presentation
Disrupt Pharma Tech Africa Inc. (Medsaf) is a service provider for the supply, distribution and management of stocks of pharmaceutical products and medical consumables. The company’s clients are mainly hospitals, clinics and pharmacies. The company’s mission is to improve traceability and, ultimately, address the lack of quality in the pharmaceutical sector in Africa, by reducing the number of intermediaries in the value chain.
Project description
Proparco’s financing is supporting the growth of Medsaf, which has set up a supply platform connecting all health players. The platform links up drug suppliers (wholesalers approved by manufacturers) with hospitals, pharmacies and, more recently, patients.
Project impact
The Bridge Fund by Digital Africa is a tool to accelerate the growth of start-ups and a solution in response to the increased financing difficulties related to the COVID-19 crisis.
