Overview
Emmanuelle Riedel Drouin is appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Proparco in July 2026.
A graduate of Paris-Dauphine University and holder of an MBA from Baruch College (New York), Emmanuelle Riedel Drouin brings more than 25 years of experience in development finance, international finance and private sector financing. She began her career in the United States before joining Proparco in 2008, where she held successive positions in risk analysis, portfolio management and regional business development, notably covering South Asia.
After nearly ten years with the French Development Agency (AFD), where she held several senior management positions in the fields of health, state-owned enterprises, public financial institutions and economic and financial transition, Emmanuelle Riedel Drouin returned to Proparco in 2022 as Head of the Financing Department and member of the Executive Committee. In this role, she has overseen the institution's debt and guarantee financing activities across all regions of operation.

Proparco provides funding and support to both businesses and financial institutions in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle-East. Its action focuses on the key development sectors: infrastructure, mainly for renewable energies, agribusiness, financial institutions, health and education. Its operations aim to strengthen the contribution of private players to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the international community in 2015.
To this end, Proparco finances companies whose activity contributes to creating jobs and decent incomes, providing essential goods and services and combating climate change.
