Project description
Proparco’s equity investment is part of the fund’s second closing. Quadria Capital Fund plans to invest in four market segments: hospitals and clinics, the pharmaceutical industry, medical technologies and the related health services. It will primarily target India, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia. Its objective is to contribute to the development of healthcare provision by pursuing an investment strategy that aims to foster the emergence of regional players.
Project impact
This operation will support the development of the hospital and pharmaceutical sectors in geographical areas that suffer from a lack of provision, and an improvement in the overall level of healthcare quality. It will also contribute to maintaining and creating employment with an expected payroll of some 20,000 people for all the companies in the portfolio. In addition, it will contribute to training health staff in South and Southeast Asia.
