NutriK is a Nigerian company that manufactures Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) and is a subsidiary of Nutriset Group.
Project description
The operation involves a €2 million loan which will contribute to increasing the company’s capacity and to the construction of a new production facility in Kano, in the north of the country (near the border with Niger).
Project impact
The expected impacts of this financing are as follows:
Employment
- About 330 jobs supported over the next 5 years, including 90 direct jobs in the company
Access
- Support for new or improved access to essential food over the next 5 years for 1,789,565 beneficiaries
The project will thereby contribute to the achievement of SDGs 2 (Zero hunger), 8 (Decent work and economic growth) and 10 (Reduced inequalities).
