Through Bridge Fund by Digital Africa, Proparco is financing Meditect, a company that fights against counterfeit medicines in West Africa with its solutions for digitizing care pathways.
Client presentation
Meditect is a social enterprise with a mission is to digitize operators in the medicine supply chain in Africa, starting with pharmacies with pharmacy management software. Meditect is also developing an application for people in Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal and Cameroon. Meditect’s objective is to develop its activity across French-speaking Africa. Meditect has already reached over 50,000 patients with its services and mobile application.
Project description
Through the Bridge Fund by Digital Africa, Proparco has allocated a EUR 350,000 loan to Meditect to support its development strategy: monetize the health data collected and extend digital services to doctors and patients.
Project impact
Meditect’s digital solutions aim to improve access to healthcare in West Africa and fight against counterfeit medicines.
