Proparco is supporting Vista Gui, a key player in local MSME financing, by allocating it a EUR 10m senior loan.
Client presentation
A subsidiary of the Vista Bank Group, Vista Gui is the largest bank in Guinea in terms of the size of its network. Vista Gui is a universal bank with a strong position on the corporate and private market.
It has 29 branches nationwide, an enterprise business center and a professional business center.
Project description
To support this key player in local MSME financing, Proparco has allocated a EUR 10m loan. This liquidity injection will enable the bank to increase its financing of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), particularly those active in high-impact development sectors (agriculture, health, education, renewable energies, women's entrepreneurship).
Project impact
The expected development impacts of this financing are as follows:
- Support for 18,500 jobs over the next 5 years (mainly indirect jobs in the companies financed)
- Support for entrepreneurship with 840 SMEs financed by Vista Group via Proparco over the next 2 years
- Technical assistance financed by Proparco will also be set up to help Vista Gui develop financial and non-financial services specifically dedicated to women’s entrepreneurship
The project will thereby contribute to the achievement of SDG 8 (“Decent work and economic growth”).
