Proparco has allocated an ARIZ portfolio guarantee for micro, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs to ACME SA, Haiti’s main microfinance institution.

Client presentation

L’Action pour la Coopération avec la Micro Entreprise SA (ACME SA) is a Haitian microfinance institution set up in 1997. Its mission is to provide a quick and cheap solution to the financial needs of micro, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, while accompanying them in their development process.

Project description

Proparco has allocated an ARIZ portfolio guarantee for HTG 407m (equivalent to EUR 2.65m) to its longstanding partner ACME SA for Haitian micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. The guarantee will allow the microfinance institution to strengthen its action with these enterprises which are affected by the crises in the country.

Project impact

The project will have a number of impacts: 

  • 248 jobs created and maintained
  • 79 companies supported
  • EUR 3.3m of investments supported in the private sector
