Alios Finance operates in several African countries and is specialized in leasing, especially auto leasing. The company is planning to develop – which will strengthen the local financing capacity, particularly for SMEs.
Client presentation
Alios Finance SA was set up in Senegal in 1956 under the name SAFCA (Société Africaine de Crédit Automobile). Over the years, it has become one of the leading players in the vehicle leasing sector. The group currently operates in Côte d’Ivoire, Mali, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Cameroon, Gabon, Kenya, Tanzania and Zambia. Alios’ main activities are leasing, investment loans, consumer credit and long-term leasing.
Project description
Proparco’s equity investment will support ALIOS Finance SA’s development, particularly its regional expansion strategy.
Project impact
This operation will strengthen the local financing capacity in countries where long-term financial resources are insufficient. Alios Finance Group’s activities particularly focus on the SME segment and the group’s various subsidiaries are among the main financial institutions for SMEs in their countries of activity. The operation will contribute to the development of activity in key economic sectors. It will also help improve access to financial services for SMEs.
