Proparco and Akuo have been working in partnership since 2012 to develop sustainable energy projects. PROPARCO is also supporting Akuo Energy via a technical assistance program. This will allow Akuo to set up an environmental and social program and strengthen the company’s management of land, biodiversity and the impacts of poultry farming.

Akuo Energy S.A.S. (“Akuo”) is a French company specialized in the development, construction and exploitation of renewable energies. PROPARCO and Akuo have been working together since 2012 on the development of sustainable energy projects.
Project description
The financing of technical assistance supports Akuo in the implementation of an environmental and social (E&S) risk management approach, with a view to growth in the organization. The project aims to make an external consultant available to Akuo to optimize its environmental and social management system and help build the E&S competences of its teams.
Project impact
Proparco’s financing of technical assistance will improve Akuo’s current E&S systems and bring them into line with the standards recommended by IFC.
