IDB Invest closed a fully underwritten long-term local currency loan for up to 940 million BRL (approximately USD 200 million) mobilizing half of the facility with the support of PROPARCO, who provides a guarantee for BRL 470 million, to the Companhia de Saneamento Básico do Estado de São Paulo (SABESP), the largest water and sanitation firm in Latin America, for the fourth phase of the Tietê River Clean-Up Program.

This new credit facility is a key component of Torrecom’s ambitious development plan for the next three years in Central America and the Andean region where it is experiencing rapid growth.
